Upcoming Training on CPP-Disability: A Guided Pathway to request reconsideration or appeal when denied

May 30, 2024

Do you support clients who applied for Canadian Pension Plan–Disability (CPP-D) benefits and were denied? Or who had their request for reconsideration declined? This webinar will help community workers understand the CPP-D reconsideration and appeal processes. Presenters from ISAC and CLEO will walk you through the steps to help you support clients using CLEO’s Guided Pathway tool.

This free online tool helps users make a request for reconsideration to Service Canada or appeal a decision to the Social Security Tribunal–General Division. The pathway explains important information about CPP-D benefits in plain language, such as minimum qualifying periods, asks users questions about their situation, and fills out the forms they need.

See what this Guided Pathway looks like here.

This training is taking place online on Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 12-1 pm.

REGISTER NOW by clicking here. ASL Interpretation will be provided.

Speakers:
Anu Bakshi, Staff Lawyer at Income Security Advocacy Centre (ISAC)
Erik Bornmann, Director of Guided Pathways at CLEO

This webinar is generously supported by The Law Foundation of Ontario and Department of Justice Canada.
