In late October, ISAC launched a survey aimed at gathering data and stories from individuals who are receiving or who have recently received provincial social assistance (OW and ODSP specifically.)
We received over 250 responses from people across the province, with many more sending in partial responses. In our initial post about the survey (which you can read here) we noted that anyone who filled out the survey completely and included their contact info would be entered into a raffle to win one of four $100 gift cards. We have completed the raffle and we thank everyone who participated!
We also wanted to hear more in-depth thoughts from individuals about their experiences of OW and ODSP, and so over the past two months, we held several in-person and online focus group discussions.
We are deeply thankful to all who participated, and to the organizations who supported these conversations. We appreciate you taking the time to share your valuable opinions and stories with us. Rest assured, their importance is not lost on us.
ISAC staff are now in the process of compiling and analyzing the information gathered from the online survey and the focus group discussions, and a public report will be released in Spring 2025. Stay tuned!
