OW and ODSP Rates and the OCB 2017

September 22, 2017

– la version française suit dessous –

Ontario Works (OW) and Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) rates are being increased later this month, as announced in the 2017 Ontario Budget.

As in past years, we have created a rates sheet to let people on social assistance, and people who work with them, know what these increases mean.

The new rates sheet shows the new Basic Needs and Maximum Shelter rates for different family types. This rates sheet also shows the Ontario Child Benefit amounts, for people who have children.

The rates sheet also gives some background about decisions behind the increases, and talks about increases being made to other benefits available inside OW and ODSP.

The increases come into effect on OW and ODSP cheques received at the end of September.

The rates sheet is available in both English (click here) and French (click here).
