New Resource: Tip Sheet for Healthcare Practitioners on the Disability Tax Credit

March 6, 2025

Starting July 2025, individuals will be able to apply for the Canada Disability Benefit (CDB).

Currently, the only way to access the CDB is through having an active Disability Tax Credit (DTC). The Disability Tax Credit Certificate application includes a section that must be filled out by medical practitioners.

ISAC’s new tip sheet for Healthcare Practitioners on the Disability Tax Credit provides basic information about the DTC, and five good reasons for healthcare professionals to support patients in accessing the DTC.
