New Resource: Info Sheet on CPP-D and Returning to Work

March 5, 2024

People who receive Canada Pension Plan Disability (CPP-D) benefits may be interested in
and able to work to some degree but may have concerns about how this will impact their
benefits. Our new info sheet on CPP-D and Returning to Work may be able to help answer some common questions about work trial periods, earning exemptions, and the difference between an accommodating employer and a benevolent employer.

Click here to read and download our new info sheet (PDF) about CPP-D and Returning to Work or scroll through the document below. A Word version with minimal formatting can be found in our Publications section. La version française est ici.

Please note that the information provided in the info sheet is designed to answer common questions and is not legal advice. The information in the info sheet is up to date as of January 2024, and dollar amounts change every year.

Each person receiving CPP-D may have different circumstances. If you have questions, seek legal advice from your local community legal clinic. For legal advice outside of Ontario, consider contacting one of the organizations found here.
