OW and ODSP Rates and the OCB – 2015

October 14, 2015

The 2015 Ontario Budget included an increase in Ontario Works (OW) and Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) rates.

Our new rates sheet shows the current and new Basic Needs and Maximum Shelter amounts for different families.

It also shows the Ontario Child Benefit (OCB) amounts, because the OCB is an important part of the total incomes of people on OW and ODSP who have children.

The rates sheet also explains that the government is applying the increases to different parts of people’s cheques, and talks about all of the increases being made to other benefits available inside OW and ODSP.

The rates sheet is available in both English (click here) and French (click here).

The increases come into effect starting on the October 30 cheques.
